1.Daily maintenance

1)When the muffle furnace is used for the first time or is used again after long-term inactivity, it must be baked. The oven time should be 200°C to 600°C for four hours. When in use, the maximum furnace temperature must not exceed the rated temperature to avoid burning the heating element. It is forbidden to pour various liquids and easily soluble metals into the furnace. The muffle furnace is best to work below the maximum temperature of 50 ℃ when the furnace wire has a longer life.

2)The muffle furnace and controller must work in a place where the relative humidity does not exceed 85%, and there is no conductive dust, explosive gas, or corrosive gas. When metal materials with grease or the like need to be heated, a large amount of volatile gas will affect and corrode the surface of the electric heating element, causing it to be destroyed and shorten the life. Therefore, the heating should be prevented in time and the container should be sealed or properly opened to eliminate it.

3)The muffle furnace controller should be limited to the ambient temperature range of 0-40 ℃.

4)According to technical requirements, regularly check whether the wiring of the electric furnace and the controller is in good condition. The temperature-measuring thermocouples connected to the controller may interfere with the controller, causing the controller display value to skip characters, and the measurement error increases. The higher the furnace temperature, the more obvious this phenomenon. Therefore, the metal protection tube (shell) of the thermocouple must be well-grounded, and if necessary, use a thermocouple with three-wire output. In short, all effective measures should be taken to reduce interference.

5)Do not pull out the thermocouple suddenly at high temperatures to prevent the jacket from bursting.

6)Keep the furnace chamber clean and remove oxides in the furnace in time.

7)During use, when using alkaline substances to melt samples or burn deposits in the furnace, the operating conditions should be strictly controlled. It is best to pre-lay a layer of the refractory plate on the bottom of the furnace to prevent corrosion of the furnace.

2.Operating procedures for using safety technology

1)Do not exceed the maximum temperature of the resistance furnace during use.

2)The power supply must be cut off when loading and taking samples to prevent electric shock.

3)The opening time of the furnace door should be as short as possible when loading and taking samples to extend the service life of the electric furnace.

4)It is forbidden to pour any liquid into the furnace.

5)Do not put samples stained with water and oil into the furnace; do not use clamps stained with water and oil to load and take samples.

6)Wear gloves when loading and taking samples to prevent burns.

7)The sample should be placed in the middle of the furnace, neatly placed, and do not place randomly.

8)Do not touch the electric furnace and surrounding samples casually.

9)The power and water source should be cut off after use.

10)Do not operate the resistance furnace without the permission of the management personnel, and operate in strict accordance with the operating procedures of the equipment.
